Natalia Osica

Managing Director

I specialize in building media relations. I have been dealing with creating organization image, generating content and promoting experts for a number of years. My experience includes employment with the PR agency Lighthouse Consultants (3 years), after which I took the position of spokesperson and PR manager at University of Social Science and Humanities (4 years). For the subsequent two years, I was responsible for media relations at Gemius, a global research and consulting company, where one of my tasks was to popularize results of internet research conducted by that company in dozens of countries. What brought me to setting up

Science PR is my passion for cooperating with scientists, which revealed itself during my work at the university. Even before I began that stage of my professional career, I heard that scientists are difficult to collaborate with, but I believe that such is the nature of discoverers and inventors: they usually go down their own path. I established this company to support them in their pursuit of ever new goals.

In 2011, as the first spokesperson of a Polish scientific institution, I was awarded the title of Science Propagator (Popularyzator Nauki) by the Polish Press Agency’s science online portal Nauka w Polsce PAP (for commitment and quality of work). As a university representative, I got the Golden Paperclip (Złoty Spinacz) award for the best corporate PR project (2012), and the main award in the first competition organised by the Association for PR and Promotion of Polish Universities PRom (Stowarzyszenie PR i Promocji Uczelni Polskich PRom) for the best science promotion project (2011). On several occasions, I have been nominated for awards in PR industry competitions, such as PRotony or Lwy PR. Between 2012 and 2014, I performed the function of general secretary and then chairperson of the Polish Association of Science Journalists (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Dziennikarzy Naukowych I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication at SWPS and a member of the Polish Association of Science Journalists

I graduated from sociology with a specialization programme in negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution at the Warsaw University’s Institute of Applied Social Sciences (Instytut Stosowanych Nauk Społecznych UW).
